Early Sociomoral Reasoning
How do infants and young children expect individuals to act toward each other?
We study infants' and toddlers' early-emerging sociomoral expectations, using behavioral experiments and EEG to trace how these expectations take shape in the developing mind and brain.
Stereotypes & Motivation
Why do some children start to believe that certain activities are "not for them"?
We examine how children absorb group-based stereotypes about ability, and design interventions, such as growth-mindset programs, that keep their aspirations open.
